Drew Balch is a violist who enjoys breaking that expectation of violists being failed violinists. Rather more than this, he enjoys leading from the instrument and doing things others wouldn't dream of doing. His style and desire for risk taking drives the majority of his projects which include working with actors, dancers, directors and even other musicians! International prizes include winner and Gold medallist in the London International Concerto Competition and finalist in the Royal Overseas League. His roots are in Somerset, but he has established his credentials all over Europe, America and the Middle East.
