Simon Gilliver is equally comfortable on flute or piano, and rumour has it can also play the cello a bit (much to my surprise)! Simon divides his time between his performing and teaching for the Centre for Creative Performance and Classical Improvisation at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He was the 2006 winner of the Albert Cooper International Flute Competition and spent the 2008 season with Southbank Sinfonia. If Simon was not a musician, he would have liked to have been a comedy writer. In other words, still didn't want to earn money for his work!
